Our Amazing Corpsmembers Treated to Thank You Luncheon
It was a great afternoon of fun and camaraderie on Oct. 23 when dozens of corpsmembers from all divisions of the Cesar Chavez Environmental Corps (CCEC) came together for their annual appreciation luncheon.
“After a long, hot, busy summer season, Corps managers like to bring everyone together to recognize the corpsmembers for all their hard work and accomplishments,” noted CCEC Director Dave Weaver.
“Many of our corpsmembers spend long periods of time working mostly in their assigned departments and on their assigned crews with the same people,” said Weaver. “The luncheon is one of the ways that the Corps builds unity and reinforces a sense of community and togetherness.”
The luncheons include friendly competition between departments through games like kickball, musical chairs, and trivia. It’s a great way to build comradery and teamwork through fun activities. A big thank you to the CCEC staff for cooking and serving the delicious lunch and to all who made the event such a big success.
“We are very proud of our Corpsmembers and love to show it!”
In addition to the annual luncheon, the Chavez Corps leadership treats its members to a very popular holiday celebration in winter. Stay tuned for more details.
