FIELD follows a transparent and competitive procurement process to ensure responsible use of public funds and equitable opportunities for vendors and contractors. The process outlined below applies to the submission of a Requests for Proposal (RFP) for services needed by FIELD and ensures fairness, transparency, and alignment with FIELD’s mission to serve underserved communities through education and workforce development, while maintaining accountability in the use of public resources. Proposals from small, minority-owned, women-owned, and local businesses are strongly encouraged.
FIELD’S Request For Proposal Process
- RFP Publication: FIELD’s RFPs are listed below. Each includes project scope, deliverables, budget expectations, and evaluation criteria.
- Three-Bid Requirement: To comply with public funding standards, FIELD requires at least three competitive bids for each RFP. Efforts are made to include small, minority-owned, women-owned, and local businesses.
- Proposal Submission: Vendors/contractors submit completed proposals by the deadline, following the format outlined in the RFP. Required content includes a work plan, pricing, qualifications, references, and legal documentation. All RPFs are submitted via email to ttrimble@fieldinstitute.org with the RFP name/number in the subject line.
- Evaluation and Selection: An internal committee evaluates proposals based on cost, quality, experience, and alignment with FIELD’s mission. Interviews or follow-ups may be conducted. Non-compliant proposals are disqualified.
- Award and Contracting: The vendor/contractor offering the best value is selected. FIELD finalizes the contract in accordance with nonprofit and public procurement standards. Feedback is available to other bidders upon request.
